mwbwCinePaint è un mwcasoftware libero e open source per ritoccare fotogrammi mwcqbitmap di film. Il software è nato come mwcgfork della versione 1.0.4 di mwcwGIMP, indirizzato all'uso in campo cinematografico. È distribuito sotto licenza mwdaGPL.

Sul sito del progetto si afferma che CinePaint è stato usato nella produzione di film come: mwdgSpider-Man, mwdwStuart Little, mweaHarry Potter e la pietra filosofale, mweqL'ultimo samurai e mwegScooby-Doocite-ref-1[1].
